Thinking Slimmer Take Two: End of Week One
Last September I reviewed the Slim into your Party Dress Slimpod for Thinking Slimmer. It was the best thing I ever did, resulting in a 13lb weight loss over ten weeks without any effort whatsoever (you can read a summary of my experience here).
After a break over Christmas (and a teeny tiny, perfectly acceptable weight gain of 4lbs) I decided that January would be the month to crack on with my weight loss and so I have promised myself that come March (when I have a spa Hen weekend and a spring seaside holiday lined up) I will have a beach body to be proud of!
And so last Tuesday I began listening to the new Beach Body slimpod. Those of you that read about my previous weight loss journey will know what Thinking Slimmer is all about and how the slimpods work (for a concise explanation - not mine! - click here).
I noticed the changes to my eating habits taking effect straight away - literally the first morning after listening to the slimpod for the first time. I didn't wake up ravenous and only ate one slice of toast instead of my normal two. Other changes I have noticed in the past week have included:
- wanting to get out there and exercise (I use the term loosely) EVEN IN THE RAIN
- leaving food on my plate at virtually every meal (something I refuse to do usually, no matter how full I am)
- making healthier choices, because I fancied them, not because I thought they were better for me
- not wanting/needing to snack AT ALL.
Two people have even commented on my posture being better; perhaps I have been listening to subliminal messages telling me to stand up straight?
So one week down and seven to go until the world gets to see me in a bikini for the first time since I was in the very early stages of pregnancy with Daisy. I knew I had lost weight and the scales confirmed this - TWO POUNDS OFF!
There is no better motivation to stick at something than results. I'm made up! And looking forward to seeing how this journey unfolds over the next couple of months.
