There are two things that make me feel a bit better about myself, and those two things are ridiculously easy to find the time to do.

First up is nail varnish. I don't wear it all the time but whenever I do, I immediately feel as if I've made an effort. In my head I think that nail varnish is a pain in the arse to apply and requires at least an hour to put on and dry. In actual fact it takes about two minutes to apply and, if you buy one of the 60 second varieties, its (obviously) only an extra minute to dry too. These nail varnishes do, however, only last 24hours MAX which means you need to be armed with the same colour to touch up your nails the next (and subsequent) days or acetone/nail varnish remover to get rid of it altogether. (Chipped nail varnish is most certainly NOT glamourous). You can pick up bottles for as little as £1.99 these days - although at this price we are talking the quick chippers. My top tip? Invest in a decent top coat, like Nails Inc Albert Bridge Top Coat (£12), and that way you can extend the life of your nail colour, no matter how cheap the varnish was.
My second instant glamour fix is a pair of sunglasses. Sounds lame, right? But sunglasses really are a mama's best friend. I'm very loyal and will only wear RayBans, which I know aren't the most affordable of brands but whether you spend £200 on a pair of sunnies or £5 on some, the end result is still the same. THEY HIDE BAGS AND UN-MADE UP FACES! Seriously. I am NEVER without my sunglasses. EVER.
