Pin It Forward

Pin It Forward UK 2013

Today I want to talk to you about PINTEREST!

You have probably heard of Pinterest before (you will DEFINITELY have heard me talking about it before) and this month it has officially launched in the UK, so I thought I would take this opportunity to give those of you that aren't already using it a bit more info about it.

In a nutshell, Pinterest is a tool for collecting and cataloguing the things you love.

You can 'pin' images from around the web onto virtual mood boards that you create - for instance, with the Modern Mummy nuptials just four months away, I am currently pinning like a crazy lady onto my Dream Wedding board.

The best bit about Pinterest is that you are not only pinning beautiful and inspiring pictures that you can look back on; pins also link back to the source of the image. So when I pin a picture of white chocolate chip cookies from a recipe blog I like the look of, I am also storing the original source (and the recipe!) on my board!

As a blogger I find Pinterest helpful, but as a mother/home owner/cook/daydreamer I find it invaluable. If you're not already part of the community and want to be then you can set up an account and start pinning using this registration link. You can get started by following my boards here!

As part of the Pin It Forward campaign, I would like to introduce you all to two more Pinterest-aholics! Sian is the Founder of Cybher and CyberMummy and blogs at Mummy Tips and Geek is the New Chic - you can see her Pinterest boards here. Vanessa from HPMcQ is also a lifestyle blogger who takes AMAZING photos. You can check out her blog here and her Pinterest here. xoxox
