Chocolate & Peanut Butter Banana Bites

Happy July you lovely lot!

What better way to start the month than with a super delicious recipe for extra healthy* chocolatey nibbles!

*kind of! ... Ten nibbles/a whole banana = one of your five a day!

Chocolate & peanut butter banana bites are made up of only three ingredients and take just seconds to create. They need an hour or so to harden in the fridge but NO BAKING IS REQUIRED AT ALL and it's easy to knock up a huge batch of these in just ten or fifteen minutes. The sweetness of the banana and the saltiness of the peanut butter make these bites an irresistible combo - and the chocolate just tops it off, making them one of my all time favourite treats.

This recipe is a great way of using up bananas that have seen better days, and everyone has peanut butter and chocolate in their cupboards so you can get making with little notice/preparation. Yay!

Chocolate. I used a bar of cooking chocolate because I had it in the larder - any type of chocolate will do!
Smooth peanut butter.

What to do.
Line a plate/dish with baking paper.
Break up and melt your chocolate in a bowl/saucepan.
Chop your banana into bite size pieces.

Spoon a small amount of peanut butter onto each piece of banana.
Cover in melted chocolate, letting as much of the excess chocolate drip off before placing on your plate.
Repeat for all the pieces of banana and put the plate into the fridge for an hour, so that the chocolate can harden.

These really are little bites of chocolatey heaven - get making and enjoy! xoxox
