A Private Screening of Barbie the Pearl Princess at Vue

On Saturday, Daisy and I had a girls day out in London. We don't often get a day out, just the two of us, so we wanted to make it super special.

We had all sorts lined up (including lunch at Pho in Soho, which you can read all about here) and a trip to the Disney Store in Covent Garden, but first of all we made our way to Vue, Piccadilly, for a very special princess party and a private screening of Barbie the Pearl Princess.

Daisy had been looking forward to this event for weeks. Seriously. Not only is she completely Barbie obsessed at the moment, she was also majorly excited about seeing Florence and Scarlett, her two little besties (who also happen to be the eldest offspring of my blogging besties Ruth from RocknRoller Baby and Alice from An Essex Wife!)

Daisy wore her favourite Rapunzel outfit for the occasion and was thrilled when we arrived at Vue and she was greeted by a real life princess and given a goodie bag with her very own tiara and princess wand. She also had her face painted as a purple butterfly to match her dress, got a red butterfly glitter tattoo and devoured two delicious chocolatey cake pops - and that was all before getting to see Barbie on the big screen!

Then we headed through to Screen 4 and took our (unbelievably comfy reclining) seats for the highlight of Daisy's morning.

The film was pink. Very pink. And very American. And, of course, Daisy loved it as much as she loves the Life in the Dream House series. Although we were both a bit confused as to Barbie's role in the film (we later found out that she 'played' Lumina so we had actually been watching a film about Barbie being in a film.... which confused us even more!)

After the movie, we made our way to Soho for the ultimate Vietnamese feast with the RocknRoller and Essex families and then after lunch our lucky girls were treated to some Frozen goodies from the Disney Store in Covent Garden.

Ruth, Florence, Daisy and I also had a cheeky ride on a tuk yuk back to the tube station which was heaps of fun!

All in all we had a fabulous time - thanks so much to Vue for inviting the girls to see Barbie xoxo
