Five Favourites: White Shirts

I realise that a crisp white shirt might not sound like the most mum friendly item of clothing around, but it's something I'm desperate to add to my wardrobe right now.

There's something so stylish and sophisticated about them, and they're so versatile too. Whether you team a tailored version with a pencil skirt for a smart office look, wear one over a pair of boyfriend jeans with heels at the weekend or button one up to the very top and wear it with a statement necklace - there really is something to suit every style.

Here are my five favourites:

1. Sleeveless Ruffle Shirt, £23.40, Boden - the ruffled and sleeveless version of Boden's Great White Shirt - perfect for Spring / Summer.

2. 40s Pussy Bow blouse, £50, 20th Century Foxy - this gorgeous and demure 1940s style blouse is made from a white viscose crepe fabric, is fitted just a little into the waist and has pretty shell button detailing.

3. Womens Long Line Evangeline Shirt, £59.95, Joules - Crafted from crisp cotton poplin and impeccably tailored to give it a unique look and feel, this is a cool and contemporary take on the classic white shirt.

4. Little White Tie Top by Bettie Page, $44.99, Modcloth - this shirt has a cute, retro feel to it and would look awesome over a high waisted maxi skirt.

5. Round Collar Shirt with Smartweave Technology, £65, Smartweave - I love the Peter Pan style round collar on this shirt, but even better it is made from 100% cotton and contains responsive technology which prevents sweat marks - perfect for busy mums on the go!

  1. I agree a white shirt can look so nice and classic! x

  2. 2 is gorgeous! white shirts always look classy

  3. Literally bought a white shirt from the Gap outlet near me the other day. So far I have felt tip and foundation on it! Could be worse I suppose. I think I will save it for toddler free days! not very often! x
