The Go! Go! Go! Show Live: A Review

SO! Ever since we got the Nick Jr channel just before Christmas we've been fans of The Go! Go! Go! Show and ever since we were sent a copy of their brand new album Radio Go! Go! Go! last week it has been on repeat in the car. Today we got to see the live show at The O2 Shepherds Bush Empire and it was bloody marvellous.

The last time I was at The Shepherds Bush Empire, I was drinking pints of lager and listening to Shed Seven on their reunion tour, so it was a bit weird to be there during the day and with the girls. But in actual fact it was a brilliant venue for a child friendly event; not only is it very easy to get to by public transport, with brilliant parking over at Westfield for drivers, it is also great for buggies - with minimal stairs to contend with for those seated in the stalls and cloakroom facilities to store your wheels while you enjoy the show.

The venue is very small and intimate with a seating plan that allows everyone to see perfectly. The seats in the stalls were also grouped together in rows of three with big gangways in-between so mid-show toilet trips weren't a problem.

The costumes and set were brilliant; just like they are on the television. Bold and colourful and utterly mesmerising for Evie who, at seventeen months, loved the show much more than I expected her to! (She started to get fidgety for the last fifteen minutes but was kept entertained for well over an hour).

But of course, we were there for Daisy, as the show is one of her favourites on television at the mo, and the highlight for her was definitely the audience participation (there was lots of it)! Sock throwing (yes, really), learning dance routines and joining in with the ridiculously catchy songs. She loved every minute of it.

There were also some super surprises, including members of the cast appearing in the audience and a meet and greet after the show, which completely and utterly made Daisy's day. They gave her a signed postcard and we also got her a toy Fluffalope on the way out.

All in all, we had a smashing time and I'd recommend the show to any parent thinking about taking their kids. Today was the last date in the April 2014 tour but I'm sure they'll be back very soon and, in the meantime, the Radio Go! Go! Go! album is on sale. I'm not going to lie, you'll find yourself singing the songs all day every day which might drive you mad (makes a nice change to the Frozen soundtrack though if you ask me) - but the kids will love it so it's definitely a good buy xo

DISCLAIMER: We were given tickets to the event in exchange for this honest review.
