Modern Mummy Loves.... Friends, Family & Sunshine

What a glorious weekend we've had! How is it that a little bit of sunshine makes everything a hundred, million, billion times better?

Family
We spent this weekend back in the Motherland (aka Twickenham) and it was utterly perfect.

After popping in to see my parents, and dropping Evie off with the in-laws, Daisy and I headed to Richmond to see Peppa Pig's Big Splash at Richmond Theatre as a birthday treat for her friend. We had an alfresco lunch beforehand and an ice cream and a run around on the Green afterwards.

On Sunday I helped out at my godson's school fair. His mum - my bestie and Daisy's godmother - organised the whole shebang and it was AMAZING. She did a brilliant job raising money for local charity, The Shooting Star Hospice.

I helped out on the face painting stall (ha! The episode of Peppa Pig, where Mrs Rabbit is on face painting duty at the school fete springs to mind) but did manage a quick circuit of the stalls (and a sample from the coffee stall) and it was awesome. Live music, good food, Pimms, face painting and SUNSHINE! Who could ask for more?

Afterwards we headed to my Dad's local where his band was gigging and got to spend more time with family and listening to more live music before getting back on the road and heading home to Haslemere.

Food

This week has been all about ice cream! Seriously, I've never eaten so much in all my life! We did squeeze in a cheeky Pizza Express at the end of last week, where Evie had her very own piccolo menu for the first time..... she ended up with Bolognese sauce EVERYWHERE. From her armpits to her knees. Thankfully it all came out in the wash!

Fashion

I've been so lucky this past few weeks. I've been gifted a beautiful 1940s inspired dress by 20th Century Foxy and have also had confirmation that I'm being dressed for the two days of BritMums Live by Fever London and Baukjen - with accessories coming from Daniel Footwear.

I also FINALLY treated myself to this gold waterproof parka from Joules - I've been hankering after it ever since the SS14 Press Day last year and figured it's pretty darn perfect for spring showers and then festival season!

Soundtrack
Because we've been in the car a lot this weekend I've been forced to endure the Frozen soundtrack on repeat (again!) but I did manage to sneak in a few tracks from Dido's Best Of album, which I picked up on CD in HMV for the bargain price of £2.99. Remember this song? Oh I do love it xoxo
