Hallowe'en Crafting with the Canon Pixma MG7150

At the beginning of the summer I blogged about our new all singing, all dancing printer, which we had been sent to review by Canon.

Canon have been setting me challenges so that I can show the world just what this printer is capable of, and the first of these was to print photos directly from my iPhone. This has subsequently resulted in me printing off and framing lots of pictures for the house, as well as for friends and family, and the printer has also been super helpful when it comes to Daisy's homework too; I honestly can't imagine life without it now.

My second task was a bit more crafty:

Select a paper craft activity for your kids from CREATIVE PARK PREMIUM.  Print a template directly from the printer screen using PIXMA Cloud.

Because Daisy is now at school, I thought it would be nice for me and Evie to have some fun with this task. Admittedly she's a bit little at 23 months, but that didn't stop us!

Creative Park Premium is a premium content service available exclusively to owners of select Canon PIXMA printers - and only when all of the software and the colours of genuine Canon inks are installed.

It's absolutely smashing and has heaps of fun things to make - and with it now being October, the first thing to catch my eye was the seasonal Halloween section.

I printed off a greetings card for Evie to 'write' while I got on with something a bit more complex; a Hallowe'en banner to put up over the next couple of weeks.

To use the software you simply go to the Creative Park Premium website and print off the things you like. You can do this in three different ways; direct from the printer screen, from your laptop or from your phone. I've tried all three of these now and have to say printing from my iPhone is definitely the easiest. How brilliant to not even have to turn your MacBook on?!! I was very impressed!

You'll have to wait until later in the month to see our handiwork from this task in all it's spooky, Hallowe'eny glory, as we're planning a big reveal of our decorations this year! But needless to say we had a great time being creative and we've been given yet another reason to love our Canon Pixma PG7150 so much! xoxo

The Canon PIXMA MG7150 retails at around £150 and is available from all good stores, such as Argos, Amazon and John Lewis.

DISCLAIMER: We were sent a printer in exchange for the series of posts which are to come. All thoughts and comments are true and my own.
